This is in memory of our family that has left us for a better place.  
 
A special thank you to my Grandfather William McKinley Sugg, 1901-1971, for 
his encouragement to research the family history and join Daughters of The 
American Revolution.
     
If it were not for my Great Great Uncle H.P. Pres Sugg, 1888-
1979, it would never have been acomplished, his many hours telling me about 
the family, his shareing the old letters and photo`s that he had in his 
posession. 
 
My Great Great Aunt Laura Sugg King, 1878-1965, for her many years of 
research. 

My husband Forrest Edward Best, 1939-1999, for all the years that 
he went with me to cemeteries and court houses doing research & his organized 
record keeping. I could not have done all that I have without his help and 
guidance.   

A special thank you to my children, Tami, Keli, & Sean 
for their patience of having a mother that always had her nose in a book or 
old papers. 
 
My Cousin Sarah will be adding many more photo`s and records that 
belonged to her grandfather H.P.Pres Sugg as time allows. 

I would also like to thank our cousin Charlie Clark for shareing all the old 
letters written by Thomas Goode Clark, and other family members during the 
Civil War. Thomas Goode Clark and his two sons, Jonathan & Albert were killed 
during the battle of Gettysburg July 1, 1863.   Charlie wrote an article about 
Thomas Goode Clark  `I Resolve To Fight`, on  November 24, 2000

Another Cousin that I would like to thank is Don Bayles who has been so good 
to share information and photos of our Broughton family. 
A special Thank You to all the other cousins, there are so many that have 
shared information and photo`s, I could not began to name them all but I want 
to thank each and every one of them from the bottom of my heart for shareing 
so much of their time, information and photo`s.

I must not forget my nephew Keith Allen McHenry, 1967-1992, & Sarah`s sister 
Lisa Jeanne Speulda, 1954-1994, who left us way to soon.
